MakerStreet Publisher
User Data Deletion
Last updated: 20 August 2026
This page explains how to remove Instagram access and how to request deletion of data stored by MakerStreet Publisher (https://publisher.makerstreet.in). Meta App Review and Instagram users can use these instructions without signing in to read them.
1. Disconnect Instagram (self-serve)
- Sign in at https://publisher.makerstreet.in/login.
- Open Publishing accounts.
- Choose Disconnect for the Instagram account.
Disconnect does the following in MakerStreet Publisher:
- deletes the encrypted Instagram access token we stored
- asks Instagram to revoke the token (best effort; local disconnect still completes if revoke fails)
- marks the connection as disconnected so it cannot be used to publish
We keep a disconnected social-account record (Instagram user id, username/display name, and status) until the broader account/workspace deletion below, because publish jobs may still reference that connection. Disconnect does not delete Reels already posted on Instagram. Delete those in the Instagram app if you want them removed from Instagram.
You can also remove MakerStreet Publisher in Instagram’s app settings (Settings → Website permissions / Apps and websites, or the equivalent Instagram control for connected apps). That stops Instagram from treating the app as authorized. You should still disconnect in MakerStreet Publisher so we delete the stored token.
2. Delete publishing projects (self-serve)
In the application you can delete a project. That hard-deletes the project and related workspace rows: media metadata, transcripts, analyses, generated copy, and publish jobs for that project. Original video files were never stored on our servers except as temporary publish objects in Cloudflare R2, which cleanup jobs and bucket lifecycle are intended to remove after publish.
3. Request deletion of remaining application data
Full account and workspace deletion is not yet a single in-app button. To request deletion of your MakerStreet Publisher data, email privacy@makerstreet.in from the same email address you used to register.
Please include:
- the subject line “Data deletion request”
- the email on your MakerStreet Publisher account
- confirmation that you want the account and workspace data deleted
When we process a verified request, we will:
- end sessions for that user
- disconnect remaining social accounts, delete sealed tokens, and attempt provider revoke
- delete workspace-owned application records we store in PostgreSQL (projects, media metadata, transcripts, analyses, generated copy, publish jobs, memberships, and the user account)
- delete remaining temporary publish objects under that workspace in Cloudflare R2 where we can still identify them
We will confirm by email when the request is complete. If we cannot verify that you control the account, we may ask for additional confirmation before deleting.
4. What we cannot delete from Instagram
Media and captions already published to Instagram are stored by Meta on that Instagram account. Removing data from MakerStreet Publisher does not automatically remove those posts. Use Instagram’s own deletion tools for published content.
5. AI providers
If you used transcription or generation, derived audio or text may have been processed by OpenAI or the OpenAI-compatible provider configured for the Service, under that provider’s retention terms. We can delete the copies stored in MakerStreet Publisher; we cannot guarantee deletion of copies the provider may retain under its own policies.
